Cortez Kennedy was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in August 2012 in Canton, Ohio. During his speech, he recognized the Seattle Seahawks team physicians among others:
"...My team doctors, thank you, especially Dr. Brad Shoup, Dr. Kevin Auld, Dr. Ed Khalfayan and Dr. Stan Herring. Dr. Khalfayan – thank you for taking care of me throughout my playing career and even to this day..."
